The parents
stay in the waiting area while the child goes into the
clinical areas by themselves. It is Dr.
Eberhardt's experience that the child will do better
without the parent in the clinical rooms. If the
child is fearful, he or she will just continue to reach
for mom or dad and not gain any trust with Dr. Eberhardt
and the staff. The child will also have more of a sense
of independence.
Dr. Eberhardt
does not use any nitrous oxide or sedation. He feels it
is much safer to do the procedures without drugs or
sedation and there is always a chance a child could have
an allergic reaction to the medications.
As a convenient service for our parents, we will be delighted to file your dental insurance starting in January. In order to file your insurance, we need the following:
1. We do request that you fax a copy of an insurance card to verify your dental benefits at least 3 days prior to your child’s dental appointment. Make sure the members Date of birth and ID# are on the card or the fax. If we need to call, please include a contact number.
2. Because Dr. Eberhardt will be considered an out of network provider, 30% of the fee will be collected at the time of the service plus any deductibles, depending on individual insurance benefits.
The out of pocket expense may vary depending on your benefits.
